BUYER
Airex Energy is a global leader in climate solutions for organizations wishing to reduce their carbon footprint. Using its patented CarbonFX™ torrefaction technology, Airex Energy transforms biomass residues into a range of high value-added carbonized products.
Under the supervision of the Vice-President Engineering, the buyer will be responsible for sourcing suppliers and purchasing general and specialized equipment. He will also be responsible for the complete logistics of our product and equipment deliveries, both in North America and internationally.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Research and develop the supplier network (North America and international);
- Negotiate annual agreements for the supply of raw materials and consumables;
- Negotiate prices and payment terms;
- Work with technical and production teams to source components;
- Identify cost reduction opportunities;
- Organize logistics associated with the purchase or sale of equipment and supplies, and follow up with suppliers and supply chain stakeholders;
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs protocols;
- All other related tasks.
PROFILE REQUIRED :
- Technical degree in Operations or Supply Chain Management
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, an asset
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a buyer in the manufacturing or industrial sector
- Bilingual, French and English
- Willingness to travel occasionally to suppliers
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
- Analytical mind and rigor

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
Airex Énergie is a global leader in climate solutions for organizations wishing to reduce their carbon footprint. Using its patented CarbonFX™ torrefaction technology, Airex Énergie transforms biomass residues into a range of high value-added carbonized products.
Under the supervision of the Chief Technology Officer the mechanical engineering technician will support the technical team in the development and review of documentation as well as the management of engineering projects.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Write and revise technical documentation such as operation and maintenance manuals and standards;
- Create document templates for customers and coordinate their issuance;
- Prepare purchase orders;
- Advise the technical engineering team to optimize their project structure;
- Support draftsmen and engineers in mechanical design;
- Support engineers in collecting and updating information for projects follow-up;
- Support engineers in managing component procurement, including selection, purchasing, delivery and installation;
PROFILE REQUIRED :
- College diploma (DEC) in mechanical engineering;
- 2 years’ experience in a similar position;
- Experience in an engineering firm or industrial environment is an asset;
- Excellent oral and written skills in French and English;
- Proficiency in Autocad and Inventor;
- Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite, in particular Word and PowerPoint;
- Attention to detail, good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Self-reliance, resourcefulness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
